Victorian Council of Social Services (VCOSS) will conducting consultations across regional areas, inviting community and social service organisations to tell them about their experiences of emergency events that have impacted their clients and communities.
Since 2009 there has been a range of changes introduced to the way Victoria prepares, responds and recovers from emergencies.
To help understand if these changes are bringing better outcomes for all Victorians, the Inspector-General of Emergency Management (IGEM) is undertaking a major review of the reform of Victoria’s emergency management arrangements over the past 10 years.
Consultation forums will be held in the following locations:
Ballarat 9 May
Warrnambool 15 May
Melbourne 20 May
Geelong 23 May
Bairnsdale 19 June
Bendigo 26 June
Mildura 3 July
Bookings are now open.
