More people experiencing homelessness in Mildura will have a roof over their heads thanks to funding from the Andrews Labor Government. Construction has begun on two three-bedroom homes in Mildura, to be ready for tenants early in 2020. In the past six years across Australia, the number of people on Newstart payments seeking assistance from homelessness services increased by 75%, according to a new analysis by Homelessness Australia.
