This two-day workshop provides practitioners with the knowledge and skills to integrate a therapeutic approach when working with clients.
A Therapeutic approach incorporates the principles and practices of; Client centred practice, Attachment Theory, Trauma Informed Practice, Healing & Recovery, Family Sensitive Practice, Systems Theory, Stages of change, Solution Focused and Strengths-based approach, Motivation & Goal setting, Problem solving and decision-making and Questioning methods.
The session will cover working with complex clients who have multiple needs and how to build relationships to engage in meaningful problem solving, decision-making and goal setting & planning, Questioning methods as a tool.
Including information relating to Vicarious Trauma and Compassion Fatigue, and the impacts this has on a practitioner. It will cover how to recognise the symptoms, and how to support the practitioner to develop a self-care plan to avoid vicarious trauma or re-traumatisation.
