The Victorian Government have released a list of achievements from year one of their ‘Gender Equality Strategy‘ and it indicates that a great deal of work has been done to cross the social and cultural divide in shifting community attitudes about women.
The ‘Free from Violence’ First Action Plan, forming part of the Prevention of Violence Against Women national initiative has been released and includes Community Partnership Grants open in March for community groups to trial and evaluate new approaches to violence prevention.
